BOARD OF DIRECTORS

As we respectfully and carefully approach this next growth phase, you will see an emphasis from our board members on foundation building, independent oversight and governance, and setting up organizations and their leaders for long-term success of F3 Nation.

As noted on Twitter and in many face-to-face and/or phone conversations, the selection of F3’s Board marks the beginning of many opportunities for F3 and for its PAX. F3 hopes you will continue to reach out if you are able and willing to help, and the organization remains driven by and for the local workout as a gateway to male community leadership — free, open to all men, held outdoors, peer-led, and ending in a CoT.

The board joins you in doing all we can to make sure F3 remains true to its mission and core principles for today’s and generations of future leaders.

advisory council

The F3 Nation Advisory Council serves as a non-governing, non-fiduciary group of volunteers charged with providing strategic guidance, raising awareness and assisting with raising funds to help ensure success in achieving its goals in support of F3 Nation’s mission.

SHARED LEADERSHIP TEAM bios

Nant’an

Frank Schwartz / Dark Helmet

Frank joined F3 down in Fort Mill, SC, in Fall of 2014 with the intent of “not being fat anymore”. The complete trajectory of his life would change, however, from that point. He caught the vision of Sua Sponte leadership and in not too long a time, he found himself being asked to help with things at the Nation level. At the beginning of 2020, he began serving as the first ever President of F3 Nation, under the re-organized F3 structure.

Because of the dramatic effect of F3 on his life, he founded a leadership training consultancy in December of 2019, called G3L Leadership. G3L takes all the learnings from F3, as well as the training in communication, leadership, and Psychology that Frank has taken in his undergraduate and Graduate studies and puts it all together to help organizations create leaders.

Frank has been a successful entrepreneur prior to his starting of G3L, founding LEC Media in 2007, a corporate communications and video firm in Charlotte, NC which served clients like, Bank of America, Electrolux, Honeywell, and others.

He also serves in leadership in his church and community, is the husband of his far better half, Tracy, and is the father of three wonderful red-headed daughters (ages 17, 15, and 11).

Matt Chalmers

F3 UHaul | The Fort

Matt Chalmers aka "UHaul" lives in Fort Mill, SC with his wife, Amanda, daughter Emma ("Rogue One") and son Caleb ("Bowser"). He joined F3 in 2019 and is known for being the only Site Q in The Fort to officially stay open throughout the dark days of the pandemic.

That same pig-headed nature has led him to his current spot on the SLT, focusing almost exclusively on reducing costs and increasing value to the PAX of F3. Mammon takes the shape of a dipshit finance guy who wanders the halls of corporate America serving mostly as an office terrorist and status quo disrupter.

Siro Gutierrez III

F3 Spur | San Antonio

Siro Gutierrez first posted to an F3 workout in May 2017 after he ran into a friend at a gala. “Come work out with me and a group of guys this Saturday”, said his friend. Siro had no idea what he was getting himself into. As a former collegiate baseball player who dealt with weight gain once he entered the workforce, Siro was always looking for a “secret” to staying fit. He was also seeking o be the best version of himself.

That Saturday morning opened Siro’s eyes to a new world. He was surrounded by quality, good souled, and extremely successful men, most of which were 10, 20, or 30 years older than him. And, to Siro’s surprise, most were in better shape. After the workout Siro earned the nickname Spur. His life was never the same.

Posting to daily F3 workouts and the daily conversations with new friends inspired Spur to be a better follower, communicator, and eventually, an effective leader. He has served in many roles for F3, including AO Q, GrowRuck Q, Nantan, and Sector Q. Today Spur serves as F3 Nation’s Weasel Shaker.

When he’s not searching for the best version of himself, Spur is chasing his 3 kids and wife around with a primary goal of knowledge transfer and supporting his family’s mission to make a positive impact on the community.

Jon Olson

F3 Mr. Woodchuck | Jax

Jon, originally from North Carolina, now calls Jacksonville, Florida, home. Introduced to F3 by his brother, Full House (F3 South Wake), in March 2019, Jon joined him for him for his first half marathon where Pax from across eastern North Carolina gathered to race.

The spirit of F3 captured him during the warm-o-rama exercises, as he counted in cadence surrounding various regional flags. Before discovering F3, Jon lived as a typical sad clown, navigating life with few friends and no daily red pill.

He truly didn’t know what he was missing. It all began to change when he realized the power of this movement. Meeting new people, in similar situations accelerating at the same rate was powerful. Not too mention getting hooked up with the best Shield Lock on the planet.

Throughout his involvement with F3, Jon, aka Mr. Woodchuck, has dedicated himself to advancing the mission of F3. Whether leading volunteer teams at events like the Kraken and Blue Ridge Relay, or serving as an Area Q, he is passionate about helping to make his community, region, and nation better. The leadership skills Jon has cultivated through F3 have seamlessly translated into his professional life, where he often finds himself sharing the virtues of V.A.P.E. with curious colleagues.

Married to his supportive M, Sarah, for 27 years, who will tell you F3 has changed him for the better. Together, they raise their two wonderful shorties, Emily and Erin. When Jon isn't running or working out, you can usually find him outside on the course or at the beach.

Kevin Weaver

F3 Camo | KATY

Camo’s F3 journey started in December 2016 when his Proud Papa Inferno EH’d him into the new F3 Houston Region. This was an answer to an unspoken prayer as Kevin had been struggling to find consistency in both working out and male community.

Following that first post the new F3 PAX known as Camo knew he’d found something special and went “all in,” driving 28 minutes each way to post. Less than a year later Camo had the pleasure of launching the first AO in nearby Katy, Texas. What followed after was a journey, first as AOQ and later as Nantan of the new Katy Region.

Through this experience Camo learned many lessons about how to lead well, some of them by failing fist. Camo had the pleasure of growing Katy from 2 AOs to more than twenty during his term, but more importantly he was able to see the Mission of F3 lived out by the many men he witnessed stepping up in leadership and working hard to become the best version of themselves. In 2022 Camo passed the Nantan flag to the next leader of Katy, Talladega.

Soon after he began working with the existing Nation LDP team, then under Bono, ultimately stepping up to lead the Nation LDP role in June of 2023. For Mammon, Camo serves as the Chief Engineering and Product Officer for Houston-based tech startup SmartAC.com.

But his most cherished and important titles are Husband to wife Kinsye and Father to son Mason and Daughter Everleigh. When he’s not doing F3, working, or serving Camo can usually be found out in the woods hunting, fishing, or working on the farm.

As head of Nation LDP he takes it as a personal challenge to help every man and every Region become the vest best Leaders they can be for the people and communities around them.

It has healing powers”.

Paul Wingate

F3 Wojo | Greensboro

Paul is a Greensboro, NC native who has a coach’s heart and a passion for leaving things better than he found them. He was a founding member of F3 Greensboro in 2014 and the first Nant’an.

When he heard about F3 from friends in Winston-Salem, Paul knew that this would be great for him personally and for Greensboro. Since starting in October 2014, F3 Greensboro has been a model region for all 3 Fs and has given F3 away to both proximate and far away areas like Burlington (NC), Roanoke (VA), Pittsburgh (PA), Omaha (NE) and several others. Personally, Paul participated in CSAUPs like the BRR, The MEGA, IPC and GTE 40 (Savannah). He has also served F3 Nation beyond Greensboro as a Truebadour and most recently as the Triad Area Q in the Mid SE (Cackalacky) Sector.

Professionally, Paul is a major and principal gifts fundraiser at his alma mater, Wake Forest University, a ‘dream job’ he has held for the last 17 years. Prior to that, he spent 15 years in sales and marketing for two international manufacturing companies.

In addition to F3, Paul is active at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Greensboro, is a member of the Greensboro Sports Council and is a past board member at Greensboro Urban Ministry. Paul and his wife are both Wake Forest graduates and their daughter is currently a sophomore at Wake. Thus, his F3 name is – of course – after one of the most obnoxious players at a rival university.

Kurt Wunderlich

F3 Wolverine | St. Louis

Kurt made it to his first F3 workout in September 2019, after having lunch with an attorney to discuss helping clients design better estate plans.

Little did he know this lunch would introduce him to a great group of guys who would improve his life forever.

As a former athlete, he thought he could out king his queen and was in the midst of realizing this thinking caused him to gain 20+ lbs when he made his first post. By standing shoulder to shoulder in the gloom and forming a shield lock with HIMs in St Louis, he is continuing to accelerate his fitness while also focused on reining in his jester, the queen. In F3 he has held multiple leadership roles, starting as the 3rd F of St. Louis where it has expanded from a single region into 4, and as the Shield Lock Q focused on helping men fight the flux.

His concentrica is his M Ashley, who enjoys poking fun at the F3 lexicon, and their two daughters. For his mammon, he is in business development for one of the largest registered investment advisors in the country which allows him to meet more of the PAX of F3 nation on his travels for work.

Charmin is a tax lawyer with Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP, focusing his practice on state and local taxation, nonprofit and exempt organization matters and general federal tax matters.
